Consiliul Europei invită europenii să descopere şi să descarce gratuit (*) mini-pliantul “Convenţia europeană a drepturilor omului – Drepturile Noastre. Libertăţile Noastre” accesând http://www.coe.int/AboutCoe/media/interface/publications/tshirt_cedh_fr.pdf (pentru varianta franceză) şi http://www.coe.int/AboutCoe/media/interface/publications/tshirt_cedh_en.pdf. (petru varianta engleză).În această publicaţie, 15 articole din Convenţia europeană a drepturilor omului apar în formă de motive pe maiouri. O asemenea prezentare pune în evidenţă modalitatea în care drepturile omului ne vizează în viaţa de zi cu zi. Există oare o modalitate mai personală decât un maiou pentru a ne afirma public convingerile şi gusturile personale.
Personalităţi ca Barbara Hendricks, Bianca Jagger, Florence Aubenas, Abd El Malik, Roland Mack, Lilian Thuram şi Tomi Ungerer nu au ezitat să se expună, îmbrăcaţi în aceste maiouri în culorile drepturile omului, în cadrul campaniei « Poartă-ţi drepturile ». Secretarul General al Consiliului Europei, Thorbjørn Jagland, Secretarul General Adjunct, Maud de Bœr-Buquicchio şi tinerii Europeni au susţinut această campanie:
Datorită succesului acestor maiouri şi răspunzând numeroaselor solicitări spontane, Consiliul Europei, fără niciun scop lucrativ, a hotărât să permită existenderea difuzării acestora. Ele pot fi comandate direct de pe site-ul Dreptul la viaţă, educaţie, libertatea de exprimare, interzicerea pedepsei cu moartea. Nu există motive care să interzică celor peste 800 milioane de europeni să-şi poarte drepturile şi libertăţile în văzul tuturor.
Moda a fost lansată. Sper să vă alăturaţi pentru a o face cât mai durabilă.

In this publication, 15 articles from the European Convention on Human Rights are presented as original t-shirt motifs.
The idea is to show that human rights protection is a matter of concern to all of us in our everyday lives. A T-shirt is a powerful and highly personal medium for publicly displaying our beliefs and tastes.
Well-known figures such as Barbara Hendricks, Bianca Jagger, Florence Aubenas, Abd El Malik, Roland Mack, Lilian Thuram and Tomi Ungerer proudly sported these human rights t-shirts for the “Wear your rights” campaign, as did Council of Europe Secretary General Thorbjørn Jagland, Deputy Secretary General Maud de Boer-Buquicchio and a number of young Europeans keen to support this cause. http://human-rights-convention.org/wear-your-rights/ Given the success of these t-shirts and in response to heavy demand, the Council of Europe has decided to make them available for wide distribution on a non-profit-making basis. Right to life, right to education, freedom of expression, prohibition of the death penalty… There is no shortage of reasons for wearing the rights and freedoms of over 800 million Europeans for all to see.
A fashion has been started. We hope that, like us, you will want to keep it going.
